LA Indoor Invitational
The concept
A world class invitational track meet that will be the West Coast anchor to the Visa Indoor Track Circuit, this meet will bring back world class track indoors to the critical Southern California/Los Angeles market. It also will continue the tradition of the former LA Invitational/Sunkist Indoor Meet.
The meet will feature top Olympic hopefuls and Olympic medalists on the Los Angeles stop to the London Olympics. World Class fields will also include top athletes from many of the nation's premiere collegiate programs, including USC, Oregon, UCLA, Stanford, Cal, and others.
In addition to the world class elite level athlete events, a high-quality high school competition will be held. This will feature between 1500- 2000 athletes competing from California, as well as a number of elite athletes from across the country. A small youth competition, as well as a corporate/track club relay, also will be held.
